Past Startup. Pre-Enterprise. Growing Fast.

Managed IT for Mid-Market & Growing Companies

When you've outgrown the part-time-IT-guy era but a full-time CIO is still a year or two away, you need a managed IT partner who can scale with you — handling the security, compliance, and infrastructure expectations that come with bigger clients, larger headcount, and higher stakes. That's the gap Inevat fills for mid-market and growing companies.

Built for the Middle

The mid-market gap is real — and it's where most IT decisions actually go wrong.

Mid-market companies (typically 100–500 employees, sometimes more) are too big for the casual MSP that handled the early days, and not yet ready for the in-house IT director plus a Big Four consulting engagement. The middle is where most companies hit the moments that matter: a major client demands SOC 2 attestation, cyber insurance underwriters get specific, a regulator shows up, an acquisition closes, headcount doubles in 18 months. Those moments expose the IT decisions you didn't realize you'd made — and Inevat is built specifically for them.

Full Managed IT

24/7 help desk, proactive monitoring, patching, endpoint management, and a dedicated team that knows your environment. Predictable per-user rates instead of hourly billing, ad-hoc projects, or capacity surprises.

SOC 2 & Compliance Programs

When a major client asks for SOC 2 Type II — or HIPAA, CMMC, PCI, or any other framework — we run the compliance work. Gap assessment, remediation, evidence collection, and the documentation auditors actually verify.

EDR, 24/7 SOC monitoring, email security, dark web monitoring, identity threat detection, security training. The security posture institutional clients increasingly expect — included in every contract, not sold as upgrades.

Headcount Scaling & Onboarding

Mid-market means hiring fast. Per-user pricing means new hires are an additive line item, not a scope discussion. Onboarding scripts, identity provisioning, device deployment, and offboarding all run by the same managed IT engagement.

Co-Managed Support

Already have an IT person or two? Co-managed IT layers Inevat alongside your team — 24/7 SOC, after-hours coverage, specialty security tools, and overflow help desk capacity. Your IT staff stays in the lead; we fill the gaps.

How It Works

Stage-appropriate IT — without locking you into where you are today.

Mid-market companies move fast, and the right IT model in year one isn't necessarily the right model in year three. Inevat's per-user model means scaling up is mechanical (add seats, add coverage) and scaling out is graceful — when you're ready to bring an IT director or CIO in-house, we transition cleanly into a co-managed engagement and eventually hand off if that's where you're going. We don't structure contracts to make exit painful, because the goal is being the right partner for the stage you're actually in.

  • Onboarding includes a full environment assessment and 12-month roadmap
  • Per-user pricing scales with headcount — no recontracting for growth
  • Compliance programs (SOC 2, HIPAA, CMMC, etc.) added when needed, not bundled by default
  • Co-managed transitions when you hire in-house IT — clean handoff, not a fight
  • Quarterly business reviews tied to your fiscal cycle, not ours

Frequently Asked Questions

What mid-market companies ask about managed IT.

What size company do you consider mid-market?

Loosely 100–500 employees, but the better question is the operational stage: companies past the part-time-IT-contractor era, with at least one back-office function (HR, finance, ops) that depends on real IT, and probably at least one client or regulator now asking for documented security posture. We work with companies up to roughly 1,000 employees on managed IT and beyond that on co-managed engagements.

Will Inevat scale with us when we double in size?

Yes — scaling is mechanical. Per-user pricing means new hires are an additive line item; you don't recontract for growth. Onboarding new employees is part of the help desk scope. Most clients are surprised at how little operational drag IT generates when the model is per-user instead of per-engagement.

We're thinking about hiring an in-house IT director — does that mean we leave Inevat?

Not necessarily. Many of our mid-market clients reach a point where in-house IT leadership makes sense, and we transition into a co-managed model — your IT director or CIO leads strategy and runs day-to-day; Inevat provides 24/7 coverage, specialty security tools, and capacity. If a full handoff makes more sense for you, we cooperate cleanly. We're not in the business of locking you into where you were two years ago.

A big client just asked us for SOC 2. Can you handle that?

Yes — this is one of the most common reasons mid-market companies engage us. Our compliance program runs the gap assessment against SOC 2 trust services criteria, builds out the controls (many of which are already in our standard managed IT stack), runs the evidence collection through the audit period, and coordinates with the CPA firm performing the formal audit. Most clients can be SOC 2 Type II ready in 6–12 months.

How is mid-market different from your SMB or enterprise pages?

Mid-market companies sit in the middle on every dimension — too big for casual IT, too small for full enterprise. They face SOC 2 demands from clients, growing cybersecurity insurance requirements, fast hiring, and decisions about when to bring IT leadership in-house. Our managed IT scope and per-user pricing model is built around those specific tensions — predictable enough to budget, sophisticated enough to support institutional client expectations.
